Virtual Ashtanga Intensives:Want a great practice that suits YOU? Join us for the virtual Ashtanga Mysore Style Intensive classes. The beauty of this practice is that it's very individually tailored: instructors work with you in your practice and help you hone your technique and maximize goals while moving through the asanas of the Ashtanga practice. Expect verbal adjustments suited to where you're at.
You do NOT need to be in Mysore class 90 minutes - feel free to join in later or end earlier to suit YOUR SCHEDULE. (Ex: arrive for 7:30-8:15am practice.) Mysore Style is akin to 'open practice' so the practitioner has options, much like going to the gym on your own time. However, this is a serious practice that takes discipline - it's most important that you carve out whatever time you can so you can feel successful. Power Vinyasa ClassesPower Vinyasa with Jenni Sol is a creative flow style of yoga that has its origin in the Ashtanga tradition. In these classes we will increase body heat and awareness as we move through a variety of poses with the breath. Expect to be thoroughly challenged; each class is different, and each month has a theme/goal to work toward (ex: January 2022 is ARM BALANCE MONTH!).
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
If the Ithaca City School District is delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather, ALL classes will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding. |
NEW CLASS in 2022: Power UP!In this new class, we will work on serious strength. Level up your Badassery with plank and wall holds, work your core, and build up to handstands. Power UP, party people!
NEW CLASS in 2022: Yin YogaYin Yoga is a style of yoga where we take deep breaths and hold poses for maximal stretching and release. Open your shoulders, upper back, hips, hamstrings, etc. with long holds dedicated to your total relaxation. This is a perfect compliment to Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Power UP!
"Jenni really cares about each of us and works hard to make everyone comfortable. Part of the advantage of Mysore is that the practice is so individualized, but that presents a challenge for the teacher in remembering each student's progress and areas that we're working in. Jenni pulls it off so well; she's invested in helping each of our yoga practices grow and customizes a program for each of us. I had no idea if switching to virtual practice would work, but Jenni is skilled with virtual assists and cues. It's no different from when she points out something to me while adjusting someone else from across the room. I don't know if it's easier or harder on Jenni's end, but I guess that just reflects that it feels just as helpful and productive as in-person practice to me! I'm so glad that I've been able to continue my regular Mysore practice with her during quarantine." |
