Are you ready to get strong? Schedule your first assessment to take the fear out of fitness.
I work with women who want to feel better in their bodies, especially those navigating mid-life. As a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, health coach, and advanced-level yoga professional, I work with you to create a program that you can say YES to.
My focus is on cross-training to get stronger while combating the effects of aging and managing injuries, with a commitment to helping others facing similar challenges.
Emphasizing strength and well-being at any age, I also work with those with busy schedules, and in pre-and post-natal or later stages of life to find their own power, and commitment to a better quality of life overall.
Which is better for beginners - yoga or strength training?
It is going to depend on your goals.
I found yoga because I never hired a personal trainer to help me understand HOW to be safe in the gym, and working out. Yoga has helped me - and my clients - feel stronger, leaner, lighter, and less prone to injuries due to its focus on functional strength.
Hitting the gym has helped me balance out my natural flexibility, and feel stronger and more powerful than before. I'm also in my late 40s - I need strength and resistance training to compliment my lifestyle.
New clients start with what feels more comfortable to them. If going to the gym and learning more about cardiovascular and muscular fitness sounds interesting, we can start there. If doing light yoga and movement to increase overall range of motion and get you stronger overall, yoga may be a better fit.

Why should I hire a professional to achieve my goals?
If you're anything like I was when I started out, I was too intimidated to start anything, so I avoided it for a long time. When I finally decided avoidance was not a great strategy, I had zero idea HOW to start.
I also had no idea how to keep myself safe in the gym setting or in a yoga practice. I constantly felt injured, had no feedback on what I was doing, and felt defeated. It has literally taken many years of trial and error - and countless trainings and hiring my own trainers and advanced-level yoga teachers - to finally understand how to stay safe, feel stronger, and more aware of my body as I move.
I now work with people just like myself find strength and mobility in safe ways - and reach their goals faster.
